General Note:
The Presbyterian Female Seminary was established in 1893 on the banks of the Reedy River in Greenville, South Carolina. The school functioned under the leadership of several Greenville Presbyterian Churches until it was privately incorporated in 1898 and subsequently renamed, The Chicora College for Ladies.

Original photograph was gifted to the Everett Library Special Collections on February 11, 2016 by Mrs. Sarah C. Mitchell of Charleston, South Carolina.
